So you want to be an ENnies judge…

It’s that time of the year again. The siren’s call of the ENnies has been sounded and the question goes out; who will answer? Do you think you have what it takes to be an ENnies judge? Do you have the fortitude to stand up against the barrage of RPG products, the reflexes to navigate the plethora of text and toys, and the will to emerge with the finest goods produced during the year? If so, then this is a great opportunity for you! Starting on July 1, 2011, people will be able to throw their hats into the ring and nominate themselves. The last day for...

Let the Playtesting Begin!

I have been hard at work and decided to take a break give the ENnies fans an update! I have been reading now for a little over a month and it is time to start preparing games.  ICONS and A Taste for Murder are the first on my list. My first ICONS playtest will be happening at DC Gameday, taking place on Columbus Day weekend. This will be different than anything I have ever run before, because I will be running a game for both kids and adults! I am really looking forward to testing this system, and have been ever since I finished reading it. A Taste for Murder is going to...

First Playtest In the Beltpouch

I’ve started a weekly group to play ENnies submissions throughout the year so I can get a better feel for the games I’m judging. The lineup will change from week to week, and I never know how many folks I’ll have joining me, so those two factors weigh into what games I’ll be able to run. As it stands, I’m just keeping three possible games prepped and then pulling out whichever one seems most appropriate for the crowd I’ve attracted. It’s an interesting way to game, but last night was fun so I’m looking forward to playing as...

A Little About Me…

I thought as a new judge, that I would let you know a little about myself. My name is Tracey. I married my husband, Frank, last October. We currently live in Quincy, Massachusetts with our cat Miniver or Min-Min for short. Min loves it when I read because I have lap space to curl up in. She is in for a treat over the next year because I will be reading a lot more than usual! My husband is one of my GM’s and we game weekly in a group where we are switching off between Shackled City and Second Darkness. Once a month, we drive to Dracut, Massachusetts where we play Golden...
