This year, the ENnie Awards has decided to open electronic
submissions for products which are released in electronic-only
format. Products which are released primarily in print are not
eligible for this submission type.
Please see a list of eligible e-product submission types
below.
How to submit an electronic product via ENnies e-submission:
Read through and follow steps 1-3 on the How to Enter
page of the ENnies website.
Send your completed submission form to entries “at” ennieawards “dot” com. Attach your e-product via one of
the following ways:
If your total attachment weight is under 800MB, attach
your product to the email directly.
If your total attachment weight exceeds 800MB, or your
product requires an .exe file to operate, include a
hyperlink in your email which will link directly to the
content to be downloaded. Make sure that product for
download is immediately visible. Judges should not
have to search for the submissions.
Podcasts and Blogs: You must send a link to
your site and specify one “must-hear” episode or one
“must-read” article/issue. The judges will select
another “must-hear” episode or one “must-read” article/issue
that they all listen to/read. Each judge will then
select another episode/article/issue.
Send submission fee* via PayPal to
funds "at" ennieawards "dot" com. E-Submissions will not be forwarded to judges for
evaluation until submission payment is received.
Submission fees are as follows:
1 Product - $5.
2+ Products - $10. – Bundled products must
be produced by the same publisher.
Products that may be submitted via e-submission are as
follows:
Podcasts – Multiple episodes of a podcast are
considered to be one product for the purposes of the submission
fee.
Websites
.pdf Books – Books available via electronic format
only.
E-submissions are not valid substitutions for published
printed books.
Books available in print solely through
Print-on-Demand publishing sites (such as lulu.com) are
still considered to be e-books for the purposes of this
award. Such products may be submitted through ENnies
e-submissions.
Software – For registered software available for
download, 6 keys must be supplied.
Why does the ENnie Award charge a submissions fee for
e-Submissions?
The ENnie Awards is a volunteer-operated not for profit entity.
We rely on the ability to auction and sell product submissions in
order to recuperate the cost of our operating expenses. With
products submitted via e-submission, the ENnies will not be able to
use the products to support the financial aspects of the awards.
Thus, the staff has developed a modest submissions fee to off-set
the expense. This fee should be comparable, if not less, than
the expenses incurred by most e-publishers by burning products to CD
and paying six forms of postage.
